The map view shows all pilots and controllers in the area covered by the map. Pilots are shown with a little airplane symbol with the callsign below, and ATCs with a dark gray shape indication the controlled area.

Please note that Tower and Approach ATC boundaries are shown approximated by a circle. Actual sector shapes may vary. Center-level boundaries are shown accurately.

If you click on an airplane or an ATC callsign you will get the familiar details window.
